The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 (Humana Pharmacy & Consumer Experience) solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
This role will support the Lead and Senior Business Intelligence Engineers in providing data and analysis for budgeting, consumer experience, retention, and other Humana Pharmacy departments . The associate will leverage SQL, SAS, Tableau and Power BI in addition to utilizing business acumen to provide conclusions/recommendations to data analysis
The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. In addition, this individual will:
* Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
* Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follow established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field
* Working knowledge of SQL or SAS
* Experience visualizing data to support business decisions (or equivalent academic experience)
* Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
* 3 or more years of experience in SQL, SAS or other data systems (Masters degree in relevant field, such as Business Analytics, will be considered in place of professional experience)
* Familiarity with healthcare or pharmacy industry
* 1 or more years of experience in Power BI or Tableau
