Job Description

GDIT is looking for a highly cleared Videographer to join our team working in fast-paced live event production environment providing direct audiovisual support to our federal government client.

Daily activities include video documentation of daily agency activities for live event streaming and archiving, audiovisual support for on-campus events and documentation, using a video camera, all official functions and unofficial events as directed, open or closed press. Our team shall be the Subject Matter Expert on all broadcast events that are streamed live to the web site and/or press feed. Our team also documents historical events occurring on campus. We are responsible for cataloging and archiving videotapes, duplication requirements, and any required editing. Our team conducts preventive maintenance on all audiovisual equipment assigned.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AV and/or television broadcast operation with 2-3 years of experience and explicit in-depth knowledge of camera operation, event documentation, and maintenance of broadcast-quality audio and video documentation and recording systems.

* Responsible for documentation of the daily activities for live streaming and archival.
* Documents all official and unofficial events as directed; open or closed press. Also documents historical events occurring on campus.
* Responsible for cataloging and archiving videotapes, duplication requirements, and any required editing.
* Maintains preventive maintenance on all audiovisual systems and equipment assigned.
* Videographer must be proficient with the following:
- HD XDCAM and EX3 video cameras.
- Portable 3/4 channel audio mixers.
- Audio transmitter/receiver units.
- Dynamic and condenser microphones.
- Analog videotape players and recorders.
- SME on all BoiP systems to include the encoders, transmission, and decoding.
- Broadcast lighting solutions for direct to camera (DTC) tapings.
AVID digital editing.
- Sony software that provides meta-data on all XDCAM recordings.
* Must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance

Multiple shifts are available weekdays covering 7am-7pm, Monday through Friday.

Weekend and holiday hours are subject to the client schedule, with opportunities for overtime.
