The Business Product Strategys mission is to make Facebook the best strategic decision-making company. We enable Facebook to most effectively allocate resources, both within and across product portfolios, by providing a holistic understanding of our products, markets, and relative advantages. We then translate this into actionable recommendations for our long-term product roadmaps, and influence product and engineering leaders to maximize impact for Facebook. We are part of Product and sit on the leadership team for product areas we support.
This specific role will provide support for teams across the Facebook family including Ads, Business Products, and Payments. These are exciting and rapidly evolving spaces requiring a candidate that can quickly assess new opportunities and translate them into product recommendations (often based on imperfect data from multiple sources). This role is highly cross-functional and requires influencing executive leadership across Facebook.

Business Product Strategy Lead Responsibilities

* Build a deep understanding of our existing business using internal and external data

* Strategically evaluate new product opportunities, and how they fit in a product portfolio

* Work with cross-functional partners (product, data science, engineering, user research) to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor or Master degree

* 6+ years of experience in business strategy and/or Product Management at leading or startup tech/media company and/or strategy consulting

* Quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with business acumen

* Experience problem-solving individually and in a group setting

* Knowledge of drivers within a technology business

* Experience shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control

* Proven track-record of organizing, developing, and executing strategy projects that deliver results

* Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership to turn insights into actions

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a similar role and at an Internet-based company

* Experience working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
