PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

Assure Pepco Holdings (PHI) adheres to the compliance requirements of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), NERC Reliability Regions including Reliability First (RF), and other applicable regulatory commissions and agencies. Assist with the preparation, review, and reporting of compliance evidence. Assure that PHI activities are performed in compliance with its procedures, standards, and requirements. Identify and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing internal controls and assessments. Participate and support Exelon Corporation compliance program.

Note: This position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage for storms and other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the Compliance team to evaluate, determine, and report PHI compliance to Exelon procedures, standards and requirements. Recommend enhancements to current practices and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Assist with the evaluation, tracking and reporting of PHI compliance with NERC and RF Standards, including supporting NERC related Corrective Action Program (CAP) activities.
Responsible for performing assessments of PHI compliance to procedures, controls and actions taken as result of the Exelon Compliance programs & processes.
Responsible to assess and track corrective actions related to compliance activities.
Work with the business units to assess, establish, and monitor controls for an effective compliance program in PHIs compliance tracking system.
Provide analysis and support to management for the NERC Compliance Program including ongoing reporting of performance improvements, organizational initiatives, and compliance related communications.
Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of audit tasks by supporting audit teams.

JOB SCOPE
The Compliance Analyst evaluates and determines compliance for PHI activities, will recommend corrective actions to address inadequacies that are discovered during assessments, including recommendations that are administrative or functional in nature. This position will evolve to supporting the Compliance Team in a consulting or advisory capacity and gather commitments of other management personnel in the organization.

The Compliance Analyst acts as liaison for the Compliance Team for compliance issues, tracks NERC and Reliability Region activities and consults with key Exelon personnel to assist with the development and direction for compliance to NERC and Reliability Region standards. The Compliance Specialist generally operates in conjunction with the Compliance Team/Manager on actions and decision-making.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field and 2-5 years experience working in any combination of electric utility transmission, operations, regulatory, legal, financial, or relevant business disciplines. OR in lieu of a bachelors degree, a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant business experience.
* General knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices or engineering principles.
* General knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches
* Knowledge and use of computer systems and common applications including MS Office
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* General analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
