General Function:

The primary objectives of this position are to provide technical support for the Systems and applications and the optimization of their effectiveness, and assurance of their integrity and security. Under the direction of the Director, I.S., the incumbent performs a variety of highly technical related functions to achieve this end. The incumbent will also be the lead intermediary in ensuring Dovers contracted End User Computing company delivers and support the Belvac organization

Primary Responsibilities:

* Will be responsible for supporting applications across all Belvac platforms.

* Lead Belvac support relationship with Dover appointed End user company HCL to ensure quality of service and deliver on KPIS. Provide quarterly review of performance on HLC to management team

* Manage the End User program for Belvac. Monitor, report, and escalate issues regarding the End User contracting program. Provide evaluations of the efficacy of the program and highlight issues as they arrive.

* Work with Dover and IS Director to access the reliability of all Belvacs Dover interface systems.

* Manage and monitor vendor support to be consistent with Dover & Belvacs policies.

* Monitor and manage backup recovery systems.

* Manage logging and monitoring systems.

* Employees responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvacs current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements.

* Maintain the quality (user serviceability, operating efficiency, and documentation) of all systems, both internal and external, as well as the economic use of resources.

* Maintaining IS Disaster Recovery Plan and ensure its refreshed as least twice per year

* As directed, will conduct or participate in hardware/software evaluation/requirements studies, and make recommendations regarding improved methods in operating system, network and communications equipment and required equipment upgrades and selections. This responsibility will also include providing guidance, training and education to end users of the product.

* Assist the application development staff with complex technical problems and perform supplementary programming tasks.

* Where appropriate, will suggest enhancements to systems, LAN and Communications hardware/software to Director, MIS and will review, evaluate and transmit the suggestions of members of his/her staff.

* Maintain documentation of IS procedures including SOX, ISO and internal audit.
* Researching products and software.
* Performing data backups and recovery.
* Perform data extractions, script writing and other small programming projects to automate end user and IS tasks.
* Will perform other duties as assigned by Director, I.S.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Five years experience can substitute for degree.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in Information Systems.
