Blood Bank Lead Technologist is to perform laboratory testing of patient specimens, providing rapid and clinically relevant information to ordering healthcare provider and to supervise all aspects of the blood bank department.
Medical Technologist ASCP registered with five years clinical blood bank experience. Two-four years supervisory experience. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals . Knowledge of Word, Excel and Access preferred. Organizes and directs the daily activities of the department. Familiar with AABD and Joint Commission standards and ensures the department remains in compliance. Works with management to evaluate new procedure, instrumentation and other equipment.
