Job Description

The Office of Intelligent Automation (OIA) at Cigna establishes governance, technology & tools adoption and enforces all Intelligent Automation operational guidelines and processes across Cigna. OIAs primary focus is to identify and remove automation barriers to help businesses achieve productivity and operational efficiency goals consistently and quickly.

The OIA is currently seeking a design analyst to support Intelligent Automation Business Development team.

The analyst will report to the Director and will be primarily responsible for interfacing with contact centers and other customer facing organizations within Cigna to identify and articulate opportunities for automation projects. The analyst will participate in and lead workshops to document current state and to uncover and vet opportunities for automation. The analyst will interface with technical resources to support the evaluation of automation ideas and how technology will support those automations. The analyst will work as appropriate with change management resources to assess and manage the impact of automation on the impacted organizations and personnel.

The analyst will also support elements of the evaluation, selection and adoption of tools supporting emerging technologies like Cognitive Automation, Machine Learning, Natural Language Understanding (NLU, NLP, NLG), Chatbots, Virtual Assistants and others. This role is will have an understanding and experience of both agile and residual waterfall Code Design and Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps and Release Management and build Intelligent Automation technical enablers aligned with strategic initiatives such as Cloud, Information Protection and CI/CD. The candidate should be adept at working with minimal assistance and supervision to meet OIA objectives in rapid adoption of these new technologies.

This role requires heavy collaboration with both business groups within the Cigna enterprise and all supporting IT organizations including Enterprise Architecture, Cigna Global Infrastructure, Data & Analytics and Cigna Information Protection. You must understand the impact of organizational models and operational needs along with technology selection on the speed, cost and usability of automation solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Understand Cigna's business, technology and infrastructure landscape and strategy for new Intelligent Automation tools and technology adoption.
* Be hands-on with ideation, design and development of any and all solutions that will reduce time to market of automation solutions as well as find solutions to promote self-service of IA capabilities.
* Work with constituent groups within Cigna to establish rapport, understand business challenges, document new ideas for automation, work across groups to best position automation ideas in a practical roadmap for introduction and delivery.
* Support and contribute to workforce transformation activities in partnership with Cigna's Human Resources organization, focused on enabling jobs of the future.
* Act as part of a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to guide the consumption of Intelligent Automation
* Work within the construct of the Cigna governance frameworks for the secure consumption of automation resources in accordance with security standards and regulatory obligations.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, OR the equivalent in education and work experience.
* Experience with contact center technologies & operations.
* Prior experience with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) implementation.
* Management consulting experience in documenting and assessing current state environments
* Workshop participation and leadership experience.
* Demonstrated skills for articulation of improvement ideas for automation.
* Change management skills for assessing the impact of automation on the organizations in scope.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluating information to make decisions, anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve.
* A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
