Job Description:
Critical Work Role Position Performs: Maintain an SAP structure that supports our SAP Roadmap. This would include definition, strategy and timeline, providing SAP solution governance, provide SAP solution designs all supporting our strategy and roadmap.
This position is primarily responsible for:
Solution Governance
* Ensuring solution design is consistent with EA application roadmaps
* Ensuring solution design accounts for and is consistent with SAP lifecycle management
* Performing validation and sign-off of 3rd Party deliverables (i.e. coding, testing, documentation)
Design
* Gathering business requirements
* Documenting functional / technical definitions for solution definition
* Documenting master data requirements for solution definition
* Documenting test scenarios for solution validation
* Representing solution design in integrated design reviews
Communication
* Working with Cat partners, GIS peers, and 3rd Party providers
* Providing weekly updates regarding status, risk, issues to BU and GIS leadership
Finance
* Preparing Proposals and RoMs for Business Unit Pull intake projects
* Assist and Validate Proposals and RoMs from Solution Team members
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Requires a relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience. The incumbent should be knowledgeable of current SAP architecture as well as SAPs technical direction and long-term roadmaps. Six to ten years in ERP related development, ERP deployment and / or SAP architecture related work is preferable.
Required Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in IT or other technology related degree
* 5-7 years of IT experience, along with 5-7 years of ERP related experience (can be concurrent)
* 1-2 years of Digital Manufacturing experience
* 1-2 years Leadership experience (supervision or 6 Sigma Black Belt)
Desired Skills:
* Working background in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Mfg Quality and Machine Maintenance
* Strong customer focus and ability to influence
* Ability to quickly understand technology changes and drive advancement within the organization
* Ability to understand both technology and business domains
* Knowledge of business operations including the technical infrastructure and general business processes.
* Experience with finance, procurement and manufacturing systems
This position can be on-site or remote within the United States
