Position Summary:

The Procurement Co-Op offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while building skills and long-term career potential. Through teamwork, innovative thinking and application of your skills, you can add value in various ways to our organization and the clients we support. You will have the opportunity to work with practitioners in the field who are forward-thinking, passionate people that will help you integrate what you learn in school with real world business initiatives. The duration of the Co-Op is approximately six months.

This Co-Op offers exposure to:

* Contract Analysis
* Business Analytics
* Business Process Improvement
* Supply Chain / Logistics

The Procurement Co-Op will develop negotiation skills through exposure to various types of contract types, including professional services, contingent resources, and event contracts. The Co-Op will support decisions that support compliance requirements, comply with corporate policies, follow guidelines, provide consistency, protect the firm, leverage vendor relations, and manage risk. The Co-Op will assist in historical contract review, analyzing, modeling and in conjunction with others in Procurement and Legal, work to improve the efficacy of various commercial contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities include contract review and negotiations, process control and contract execution, and process improvement and education.

To be considered for this co-op, all students must meet the following criteria:

* Status: Full-time student entering their junior or senior year of college
* Minimum GPA: 3.20 OVERALL
* Major: Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering; Liberal Arts Majors with a demonstrated interest in business will also be considered
* Solid technical skills (specifically Excel), detail-oriented, analytical skills
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), relationship building and consultative skills
