How will you make an impact?

Our Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of research products and services within a defined territory, serving customers engaged in pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, and other fields of research and development, testing, and production activities. The Sales Representative, develops opportunities for growth and assures market penetration and profitability to meet sales and profit forecasts.

What will you do?

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user within assigned territory
* Independently make decisions, utilizing available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources; Seeks out broader relationships within the account to help facilitate networking and prospecting
* Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory
* Researches competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services
* Manage pricing and negotiate within territory to control profitability
* Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary
* Communicate customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager
* Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Utilizing the Thermo Fisher values (The Four Is; Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement) you will interact with customers in the assigned territory every day to drive a high level of customer satisfaction while growing sales and profit across a large portfolio of laboratory products

Education

* Bachelors degree, preferably in the sciences or equivalent work experience.

Experience

* 2+ years of experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry
* Sales experience including CRM technologies like SalesForce preferred
* Strong industry, pharmaceutical and science background preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
* Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet
* Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
* Must be able and willing to travel to customer locations
