Responsibilities
Business Markets is a newly formed department in State Farm responsible for growing the Business Lines product portfolio.
As a member of the Business Markets team, you will be a part of a multi-functional team leveraging a General Manager structure that provides additional focus and alignment enabling State Farm to capture more of the small business opportunity. You will represent the broader Business Lines product view, with a Marketing and Distribution lens, to engage with leaders and business areas serving as a catalyst to accelerate the realization of business outcomes.
This role will support the Marketing & Distribution function. This analyst will be responsible for working closely with all aspects of the Business Markets department and key stakeholders to develop and execute on marketing and incentives strategic plans, tactics and initiatives to drive and support Business Lines growth.
Key role responsibilities will include:
* Drive pace and quality towards business outcomes
* Participates in various activities related to strategic definition, planning, prioritization, and execution of sales and marketing tactics and/or tools and capabilities to drive identified team measures aligned to business objectives
* Serves as a liaison and consultant between various internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to research, develop strategic plans, and execute marketing tactics and incentives programs to support enterprise growth
* Plans and collaborates with execution partners on marketing tactics, initiatives, communications, business lines programs and promotions and agent engagement plans
* Analyzes market conditions, targets customer insights, develops marketing forecasts, estimates costs, conducts marketing tests, etc. individually or within a team
* Combines relevant data and qualitative information to validate needs, assess options and influence decisions
* Coordinates and develops communication strategies and tactical messages for customer audience
* Responsible for optimizing programs and tactics to maximize budgets and objectives
* Demonstrates critical thinking skills, including the ability to effectively navigate ambiguity
* Demonstrates ability to link vision to goals/objectives and influences others to work toward shared visions and goals
* Demonstrates ability to make decisions and solve issues based on relevant information and objectives, quickly adapts approach and decision based on new information and is able to anticipate impact of decisions
* Assists manager in establishing strategic vision and prioritization that aligns to business objectives; aligning business plans, projects, and service objectives with Business Markets strategies and goals
Qualifications
Seeking a candidate with these required skills/experiences:
* Experience and/or working knowledge of how agents execute marketing plans, tactics and sales processes to drive growth and retention
* Demonstrates the ability to develop and promote a vision of how systems, processes and procedures can enhance customer service, enterprise sales, and operational effectiveness
* Experience in developing marketing strategies and plans as well as executing marketing tactics and incentives programs is preferred
* Ability to lead work and drive pace towards quick and effective decisions
* Analyze trends and statistical information, develops reports, and provides recommendations
* Exemplifies strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels
* Experience leading and navigating large complex projects/programs using a variety of tools and methods
* Experience building effective relationships and influencing peers, stakeholders, and leadership of all levels to support successful delivery
* Proven track record on delivering on commitments in the agreed upon timeline with accuracy and quality
* Demonstrates effectiveness in meeting established goals and targets
* Experience developing and optimizing marketing strategies, tactics and initiatives
* Broad enterprise understanding to help connect dots among different departments
* Proficiency with standard applications including PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneNote, Version 1
