Responsibilitiesn
The Risk Management Director position is responsible for implementing policies and plans relative to risk management for one or more assigned areas of risk. This position is responsible for managing multiple processes relative to the identification, analysis, control or management of the assigned risk areas and may apply specific direct expertise personally. This position provides support to peer operational management on detailed treatment of cases or specific areas of risk.

Day to day responsibilities:n
n
* Consult and partner with key business stakeholders to provide operational risk expertise, leadership, and consulting services for Enterprise projects and initiatives that could include near miss, emerging risk and retrospective risk review activity. n
* Assure alignment with business unit risk appetites, policies, tolerances, limits, and metrics u2013 including developing and maturing operational risk engagement models and operational risk processes.n
* Work with the business, risk teams and key stakeholders to develop and recommend operational risk strategies based on qualitative and quantitative analysis n
* Provide leadership and oversight of the Third-Party Risk management program u2013work with key stakeholders to develop, mature and maintain systems, analytics, reporting, and data management capabilities to support effective, proactive and aggregate risk analysis and reporting. n
* Chair risk-related committees and projects, as requested. nn
Qualificationsnn
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus minimum ten yearsu2019 experience in auditing, risk management, compliance for an insurance, financial services organization.n
* Industry experience and knowledge of advanced concepts in risk analysis including prior experience with risk tools (risk assessments, key risk indicators) is desirablen
* Experience in translating risk assessment and analysis into recommendations and actionn
* Strong work ethic and ability to multi-taskn
* Proven leadership skills.n
* Ability to respond tactfully to sensitive and critical issues.n
* Interpersonal skills requiredn
* Strong ability to build collaborate team and convey mission, objectives, expectations and philosophy particularly in matrix environmentn
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization n
* International travel may be required and/or will need to be available to conduct calls outside of normal business hoursn
* Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentialityn
* Risk related designation such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, or other application risk or operational risk management designation preferrednn
