Director of Quality

Medical City Las Colinas

The Director of Quality Management oversees quality staff responsible for the medical staff peer review process, on-going medical staff evaluation (OPPE and FPPE), core measures validation of the accuracy of abstraction, completion of key medical staff review functions (surgical case review, mortality and morbidity, LOS analysis, moderate sedation and analgesia, medication use, blood transfusion). In addition, this role oversees the functions of the Sepsis Coordinator.

The Director oversees ongoing readiness for TJC and CMS surveys by facilitating completion of chapters gap assessment, developing action plans to correct and conducting survey rounds (J2E). The role serves as a facilitator for performance improvement teams in improving quality and safety metrics (Clinical Excellence)

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing/related field or in pursuit thereof; Masters Degree in Nursing/related field preferred

Licensure/certification/registration: RN preferred, CPHQ required within 1 year of service

Experience: 2 years clinical experience; 3-4 years quality/performance

Improvement experience with progressive responsibility

Special Skills & Qualifications: Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing.

Computer skills required; specialized training/education in PI process, managing data, analytic thinking, and regulatory requirements
