Summary

The Platform Team within SAP SuccessFactors is looking for a data engineer/ machine learning engineer to help build a state-of-the-art Search Platform for SAP SuccessFactors business SaaS applications.

The Role

You are a curious and experienced Search Engineer interested in building data driven enterprise solutions with knowledge of search algorithms and machine learning in commercial & enterprise environments and build scalable platform to handle large data sets. You are a quick learner and comfortable working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business users to understand business problems and collaborate with the team on a viable solution. You take ownership of a project and plan to deliver a solution in a timely manner.

Education & Qualification Requirements

* BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
* 5-7+ years of working hands-on experience on applied search technologies
* Proficient knowledge of various Search Technologies (e.g., Lucene) used in building large-scale search infrastructure and key informational retrieval algorithms
* Create qualitative data and measurements to determine the relevance of the results
* Serve as an expert on search across heaps of (un)structured data
* Determine the relevance, quality and provide recommendations of optimizing search results
* Work independently and on a team, depending on the project, to enhance search engine results
* Multitask on multiple evaluation projects
* Solid Programming skills in JAVA or C++
* Familiarity with other modern programming languages, such as python, Golang, rust
* Familiarity with developing and integrating with Microservices
* Proficiency in devising scalable, performance search algorithms.
* Build scalable, distributed search backend services and product integration
