Responsibilities:
Collaborate and lead complex product functionality and architecture.

Analyze internal development process and make recommendations for changes.
Produce Design Documents for assigned platform features/enhancements/migrations.
Provide feedback on functionality requests regarding feasibility and complexity.
Collaborate with and serve as a resource between departments on detailed technical product information.
Create strategic documents and vision plans at platform-wide scale.

Education, Experience & Training required

Masters degree or higher in CS, EE, Mathematics, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
15+ years work experience in a technical related field with a track record of increasing complexity and scale

Advanced knowledge and practical delivery using a continuous integration and delivery process in an agile, open source environment, and a long term track record of successfully operating these deliveries against a stringent service-level agreement (SLA.)
Strong programming and architectural knowledge in modern languages (Go, Node.js, and/or Python strongly preferred, plus working skills in at least one functional language)
Successful implementations and operations of several major open source packages in an enterprise environment
Extensive experience working with Service Oriented Architectures, micro-services, Kubernetes, service meshes, serverless architectures, and event driven architectures
Track record of large customer-facing product delivery at Internet scale in at least one purely native public cloud offering
