This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment out of Kokomo, IN.

Summary:

Development of Automotive Radar electrical hardware design for advanced development projects.

Responsibilities:

* Develop Automotive Radar hardware for advanced development projects
* Identify and work with suppliers for component and design definition
* Optimize designs for customer performance, manufacturability, and reliability
* Select components, design and analyze circuitry, support PCB layout for new products
* Simulation and modeling of high speed PCB buses
* Power Integrity analysis for design circuit blocks
* Generate electrical information for CAD design of PCB layout
* Create product verification plan and complete first sample hardware checkout
* Utilize structured problem solving techniques for test failure resolution
* Present product design, analysis, and test data to customers
* Work closely with local and global team members

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
* 3+ years experience in automotive electronics design
* Understanding EMI/EMC
* Understanding of PCBs
* Strong work ethic to support team design efforts and timing
* Ability to multitask across various project activities
* Ability to work with a global program team
* Good verbal and written English communication skills

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

* Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
* 6+ years experience in automotive electronics design
* Understanding of RF concepts, components and materials
* Proficient in the use of standard electrical and RF measurement tools and methods
* Experience with schematic capture, circuit analysis and support PCB layout required
* Familiar with Mathcad / Maple software and circuit simulation tools
* Familiar with HFSS simulation software
* Expertise on handling and understanding IBIS and SPICE models
