We are looking for proven technical leaders with a passion for building applications and experiences that use a variety of spatial computing technologies. This is a hands-on Engineering Program Manager position within the Technology Development Group where you will lead advanced software and application core teams through the entire product development lifecycle from concept to ship. You will work with creative and technical experts across Apple to develop and communicate a compelling and inspired vision and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver new and unique applications and experiences. You will work collaboratively with Engineering, Design, Product and Research teams to set objectives and goals, accurately scope the length and difficulty of tasks, develop and adapt schedules to take the vision through execution and to ship. You will be responsible for driving program decisions, under pressure, which shape the final product. You should demonstrate high integrity, feel comfortable in rapidly changing environments, and understand how to manage conflict in a variety of program situations: one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, Execs and external partners. * Passion for and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts in a wide range of fields (spatial computing technologies an asset)
* Ability to provide succinct and accurate executive summaries of complicated situations, drive what matters
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
* Minimum 5 years of program/project management in software development, including tracking software delivery process using tools and metrics
* Technical proficiency in software development tools and scripting languages
* Passionate about developing relationships with developers and industry contacts to understand bug fixes and features

As a Software EPM, you will drive all aspects of large, cross-functional programs and feature areas. Oversee all aspects for multiple programs including scoping, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation Help define product, functional, and reporting requirements, often writing them yourself Own overall cross-functional program schedules with other Apple groups (client teams, device teams, other business teams) Drive cross functional programs with SW and HW Engineering and QA teams, as well as other cross functional teams including Infrastructure, Legal, Finance, Operations and other organizations both within and outside of Apple Continuously look for opportunities and improve how programs are run and executed

BS/MS, Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience
