What will you do?

Responsibilities:

* The IEC and back up persons are held responsible for, but not limited to the following export processes:
* Determining the category or "export classification" or "dualuse classification" of each item (commodity, software, or technology) that may be exported, keeping an up to date database of classifications, and communicating those classifications as appropriate.
* Screening proposed transactions, and documenting the screening as evidence of Global Trade Compliance.
* Applying for and obtaining all necessary licenses and approvals for exports.
* Maintaining records of all export transactions, including contracts, shipping documents, financing, and all other records pertaining to each transaction in accordance with the parameters and period of retention set by all applicable government agencies and by Company policy.
* The IEC and back up persons are held responsible for, but not limited to the following import processes:
* Determining and maintaining a matrix list of the HTS classification and COO for each item regularly imported, as well as records for the determination of the tariff classification.
* Maintaining record of all imports including entry and all other documents pertaining to each import, in accordance with the parameters and period of retention set by all applicable government agencies and by Company policy.
* Providing import information to customs brokers, and working with the brokers to promote proper clearance of imports and other aspects of import compliance.
* Communicating with suppliers to ensure they understand and adhere to requirements for proper importing.

How will you get here?

Education

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

* Two years of experience in an import/export environment.
* Product Review and Classification (HTS Code and ECCN)
* Daily audits to ensure complete compliance with government and export regulations
* Creating commercial documents for all international orders
* Filing proper export declaration (EEI) via ACE
* Creation and/or modification of standard operation procedures (SOP) related to import/export activities
* Familiarity with Import and Export Documentation (Commercial Invoices, COO, AWB, BOL, SLI, etc.)
* Must have high commitment to ethical standards to perform this position
* Must have experience communicating effectively with a wide variety of people
