The Underwriting Analyst position will be part of the newly formed Berkley Healthcare Financial Lines (BHFL) group. The candidate will provide underwriting support to the underwriting team for Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability and Fidelity/Crime for privately held and not-for-profit healthcare organizations. The Underwriting Analyst will assist the underwriters throughout the placement process for both new and renewal business from submission receipt to policy issuance. Qualifications

* Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college; and/or
* Preferred Management Liability Underwriting experience
* 3+ years of current line of business underwriting analyst experience

Required Technical Skills

* Technical underwriting support skills including: submission in-take, new and renewal submission management, pricing preparation, risk analysis preparation, underwriting documentation expertise required
* Demonstrated capability of managing all aspects of the underwriting analyst responsibilities
* Knowledge of financial lines products, coverages and policy forms
* Strong organizational skills required to successfully manage underwriting files and workflow process
* Customer focused (You excel at relationship building and customer responsiveness)
* Strong written and oral communication skills (i.e. Your communication style is flexible and adapts to the situation)
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work on a daily basis in response to a dynamic work environment
* Able to manage heavy system inputting using Excel, Word and .pdf on a transactional basis
* Adept at shifting between tasks while managing a variety of responsibilities
Strong sense of accountability (You can work independently and manage to multiple deadlines)
