The Accounting Analyst Sr. provides expertise and leadership in preparing and reviewing financial information for management decision-making or external reporting. Youll use your experience, innovation and judgment to handle a diverse range of complex assignments as you lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

* Collaborates with stakeholders to Identify, review and research issues which impact the accuracy and completeness of accounting data within a general area of responsibility; research solutions and make recommendations
* Prepares/responds to reports, ad hoc requests and analyses
* Analyzes business transactions of a complex nature
* Reviews account reconciliations prepared by outside vendor and researches outstanding items
* Monitors controls of outside vendor processes
* Reviews new projects for accurate accounting setup and proper documentation
* Facilitates and aids with audit requirements for outside auditors each quarter
* Leads or participates in various accounting related projects
* Communicates and consults with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to work with large amounts of detailed data and translate data into meaningful information
* Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

* Required: Bachelors degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum six (6) years experience in related field
* Preferred: CPA

Other Required Experience:

* Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
* Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
* Demonstrated excellence in complex analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrates an advanced aptitude to understanding and working with complex processes and computerized accounting systems
* Demonstrates advanced analytical skills and financial accounting skills, including consolidations

Additional Job Description:

* Assists in drafting disclosures for inclusion in SEC Forms 10K and 10Q including financial statement footnotes and Management Discussion and Analysis
* Prepares and reviews quarterly and annual FERC Form 3Q and Form 2 filings
* Prepares XBRL tagging
* Prepares statement of cash flows
* Demonstrated knowledge of Wdesk (Workiva)
* Regular and reliable attendance with ability and willingness to work overtime, especially during quarters

General Compensation Information:

This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual performance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
