The Role



We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. Senior Application Software Engineers drive the vision for our member sites and participate in design, development and deployment for Front-End Development.



As a Senior Application Software Engineer you will:





t
* Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable custom built Front-End solutions to meet business needs.
t
* Act as a subject matter expert for other developers and engineers.
t
* Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements
t
* Meet with business partners to understand business needs
t
* Responsible for overall design of the solution
t
* Design, build and test applications
t
* Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality



Additionally you will bring:



t
* 3+ years of related experience
t
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
t
* Strong working knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, unit and browser testing, mockup/prototype presentations
t
* Preferred Skills: Java, SQL
t
* Experience working in a fast paced environment
t
* Healthcare experience strongly preferred
