Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant CNO has 24 hour a day seven day a week responsibility for treatment services provided for inpatient programs. The Assistant CNO promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor of Nursing required. MSN preferred.

Experience: Prefer 5 years clinical nursing experience with a psychiatric mental health population, 3 years previous clinical supervisory role in an inpatient psychiatric setting and administrative/ management experience.

Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
