As part of our Network team, will assist with wiring/cabling and racking of computer and telecommunication equipment. In addition, will perform quality assurance tests and troubleshoot hardware issues to help improve and maintain the multiple data centers high reliability and resiliency. Our ideal candidate has experience in capacity planning and can ensure that our systems have the electrical power to meet strategic business needs with few or no reliability issues. We strongly prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, and it is essential that you have a firm grasp of network storage, electrical background, data center cooling principles and architecture.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Design and manage information/network systems
* Setup and operate common Linux and Windows OS servers
* Perform quality assurance testing
* Identify and resolve recurring issues
* Identify reliability risks
* Schedule and track hardware maintenance
* Update port maps and rack layouts
* Create operational procedures
* Provide technical support
* Work with building facility engineers and outside technical vendors

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, or electrical engineering or 7 years in an IT network role
* Willingness to work the on-call rotation for troubleshooting after hours
* 5 years' experience in the follow areas:
* Working with IT systems
* Linux and Windows OS system administration experience
* Network and power capacity planning experience
* A solid understanding of network and data cabling
* Analytical skills
* Troubleshooting skills with Cisco; log in and reset a port, VLAN
* Living a commutable distance to Walnut Creek, CA

Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
