The IT Director, is accountable for Strykers Commercial end-to-end design solutions, cross-platform issue resolution, and governance of the Global ERP programs ecosystem architecture and technical business processes. The major ecosystem components include SAP (S/4 HANA, EWM, TM, GTS, Ariba, IBP, Commissions, Manufacturing, & BW), SalesForce.com, Model N, Windchill, Oracle EBS, JDE, WorkDay, and many external 3rd party platforms. This individual will also be accountable for the Solution Review Board activities driving architecture decisions, technical approvals across the ecosystem, and alignment of scope against Run team minor releases. In addition, this role is accountable for the coordination of large-effort, live-site demand aligning to major release schedules.
This individual will collaborate and build trust in a broad matrixed organization collaborating with other Global ERP Program teams, IT Business Partners, Build and Run teams, various Infrastructure teams, and Business Deployment teams. This individual will also manage a team of End-to-End architects leading and facilitating cross-platform workshops, setting direction for technical and configuration solutions, and meeting project schedules and milestones.
This individual will also be responsible for the management and tracking of the relevant external System Integrators, contract scope, and financial management aligned to the Global ERP program policies and fiscal guidelines. As well, this role will manage and coordinate external resources and design solutions across concurrent Major Release timelines adhering to those specific milestones. This individual will also maintain tight collaboration with other ongoing Enterprise Core programs at Stryker including Global Compliance, Inter-Company, CRM, and PLM programs to ensure SAP governance and interface / master data architectural alignment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Detailed Description)
* Ensures and facilitates the successful delivery of SAP technical configuration and development direction for End-to-End (E2E) cross platforms / business processes as delivered via the Technical Release teams.
* Defines a system of controls to monitor and control the delivery of E2E solutions across a diverse global team of configuration professionals from multiple System Integration partners and platforms.
* Partners with the Business Process Support organization to provide Release leadership, Release process governance, and technical prioritization guidance.
* Defines appropriate metrics to monitor E2E Integration team progress, including formal communication to senior executives and program sponsors.
* Defines, governs and executes the operating model of the team and its interactions with other technical and business teams within the program.
* Leads a team of both internal and external functional analysts and solution architects in various global locations to ensure cross-platform and cross-process design and execution simplification.
* In coordination with IT governance and System Integrators, serves as program methodology lead.
* Drives key process and design decisions for scalability and capacity.
* Drives the development and solution governance for the Global ERP platform in accordance with agreed architectural designs.
* Meets regularly with project technical leads and solution architects to review designs and recommends solutions for all activities related to the system business process configuration.
* Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving SAP issues acting as expert level support.
* Reviews and measures work quality performed by the Systems Integrator teams and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Continuously evaluates and drives measurable improvements to the configuration processes and communicates changes.
* In coordination with the IT Run Organization, forms long term End-To-End process vision for the
Global ERP platform.
* Collaborates with various infrastructure teams including Basis, Security, and Operations to align on program goals and timelines.
Education & Special Trainings:
* Bachelors degree in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent field of study required.
* Masters degree in a technical field highly desired.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of 12-15 years industry or consulting experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in leading or driving SAP ERP application architecture required.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role at the Sr. Manager / Manager level.
* Prior experience working on large, global SAP ERP implementations required.
* Deep understanding of Order Management, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain business processes to facilitate system configuration discussions is required.
* Deep understanding of major ERP (SAP/Oracle/JDE) application architecture required.
* Experience configuring or integrating ECC or S/4 HANA with extended ERP platforms (EWM, GTS, TM, PI/PO, Ariba, or IBP) required.
* Experience integrating S/4 HANA or ECC to SFDC, Model N, WindChill, Oracle EBS, WorkDay or JDE required.
* Experience in working with inbound and outbound interfaces having techno-functional knowledge of Middleware Technologies preferred.
* Experience building out data architecture strategies or integrating ECC or S/4 HANA to SAP BI Analytics platforms (Business Objects, S/4 HANA, Power BI, etc.).
* Deep understanding of SAP Master Data elements and cross-platform data architecture required.
* Ability to develop application architecture strategies, communicate as appropriate to senior executives and IT teams, and influence without authority to those key stakeholders.
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
* Experience with, and a strong ability to quickly learn complex enterprise system architecture and technologies, software designs, complex data movements, and integration points.
* Strong data analysis, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to maintain strong relationships within program teams across Stryker Divisions and Geographies.
