* Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering or Manufacturing major preferred.
* 3+ years of Program Manager or Operations experience.
* Global experience and interest with willingness to travel & communicate both domestically and globally.
* Plant Floor experience preferred
* Understanding of a manufacturing plant P&L.
* Demonstrated knowledge of key Lean manufacturing principles.
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
* Ability to facilitate lean workouts, meetings, team events.
* Knowledge of SKU / product costing.
* Knowledge of plant design, process design, process control
* Basic knowledge of supply chain and capacity planning.
* Communicates effectively both internally and externally at all levels of management.
* Self-starter, able to self-motivate and complete tasks with limited supervision.
* Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
* Excellent strategic planning and strategic thinking skills.
* Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
* Has the flexibility to travel domestically and abroad
What Youll Do
As the Operational Productivity Manager you will lead all PTG Operations planning, analytics and execution across PTG (Power Tools Group). This person will be responsible for leading SPS, Indirect Spend, Operations Efficiency, Productivity and Tariff Mitigations within PTG
Specifically, youll:
* Support plant and SBU productivity initiatives through project management, product and process analysis with recommendations for improvements.
* Responsible for tracking, reconciling and reporting Operational productivity savings, inflation, tariffs and tariff mitigation for PTG.
* Plan and coordinate monthly plant productivity & SPS calls.
* Monthly communication to cross functional leadership team on tariff exposure and mitigation.
* Develop annual productivity & CAPEX budgets through working with our Plants on Plans to Achieve.
* Identifying, executing and leading Operations productivity and lean six sigma projects from concept through completion including managing and coordinating plant kaizen / VAVE events with cross-functional team.
* Partner with SBU Margin Resiliency Team to successfully execute all projects including Design-to-Value (DTV), Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM), Complexity Management and Supply Chain Excellence projects.
* Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements within the plant to include automation / connectivity and other Industry 4.0 solutions.
* Lead and support plant process design and equipment selection projects for capacity expansion.
* Creating core standard templates, reports, dashboards, interactive training videos
* Lead/facilitate plant event teams.
* Analyze plant P&L, costs, SKU portfolio within the plant.
* Work with SBU and plants to analyze product SGM degradation and make recommendations for cost improvements.
* Work with the engineering team to identify and execute best path to change country of origin on transferring products.
* Build and maintain relationships with key leaders across the various functions (engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, marketing, finance, supply chain ,quality, compliance) around the globe, in addition to building and maintaining relationships with key component and finished goods suppliers.
* Support special projects identified by the Operations leadership group.
* Responsible for operating within budget.
* Leadership & development of the PTG Operations team; providing career development & planning together with day to day management.
