Team Overview
MuleSoft is a business unit within Salesforce. The MuleSoft Product Operations team is a new, fast-growing group within MuleSofts Program and Operations team. The Product Operations team incubates and develops the frameworks and operational rhythms to support the Product organization including planning, field alignment, release management, communications, onboarding, and more.
Role Overview
The Product Operations Manager will be the voice of the Product organization and act as the Product Owner for the improvement, scaling, and migration of our core product delivery work planning and tracking tools, while evolving our product development metrics and analytics.
This person will use their keen understanding of product and engineering best practices to identify, prioritize, and map stakeholder requirements and use cases into a cohesive roadmap to meet compliance and user needs. They will lead the design and implementation of the desired future state and drive adoption.
The Manager will identify and perform root cause analysis and develop creative and scalable solutions for our tooling practices, evangelize solutions, and onboard teams to the new tools and best practices. The position requires working cross-functionally at all levels of the organization within Salesforce and MuleSoft: product managers, engineering leads, Architecture, User Experience, Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Field, and back-office teams.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable processes and systems that support our customers, field, and product development teams, including coaching teams to surpass their goals. This person will drive their own roadmap and initiatives forward while remaining aligned and coordinated with many fast-moving related projects as well as use data to measure the effectiveness of the program and adoption.
Minimum Requirements
* 6+ years of SaaS/PaaS product development experience with large, highly complex programs utilizing Agile/Scrum as a PM, TPM, Eng, etc.
* 2+ years of technical program management experience from analysis through implementation and adoption
* Well versed in product and engineering best practices as well as experience implementing PDLC and SDLC workflows in previous roles
* Ability to drive strategic projects to closure as well as navigate challenges related to prioritization, engagement, and/or ambiguity in a fast paced environment
* Comfortable bending between the strategic and tactical
* Ability to distinguish signal from noise -- excellent synthesis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment to resolve issues
* Change management skills to drive transformation across an organization
* Ability to establish credibility, rapport, and drive strong collaborative working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, including senior executives, technical, and non-technical global team members
* Proven ability to lead and influence without authority in a highly dynamic environment
* Ability to be productive and drive clarity and issues to closure in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal direction
* Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience in data analytics in rudimentary systems; you are not afraid to get your hands dirty in Excel/gSheets (e.g. extracting data from disparate systems, merging data sets)
Preferred Requirements
* Experience as a tool Admin (Jira, GUS, Aha!, Confluence, etc.)
* Expert knowledge of GUS - configuration, create solutioning, etc
* Experience with Jira, especially configuration and understanding of workflows
* Experience transforming or migrating from one platform to another used by 500+ users
* Certifications in one or more: Agile Scrum Master, Kanban, Scaled Agile, APMG, Six Sigma Belts
