Job Description

Reporting to the Raytheon Technologies Western Region Operations and Depot Director, the Senior Manager, Operations Engineering at Raytheon Vision Systems will lead Manufacturing systems, planning and factory improvement teams within the Vision Systems Manufacturing Center (VSMC). The position requires both strategic and tactical focus in deriving and recommending scale-up approaches to meet RVS increasing volume. The successful candidate will be equipped to utilize R6 Sigma expertise to analyze barriers, implement manufacturing efficiencies, and lead teams on highly complex progressive projects. This position will interface both internally and externally with customers, while working across functional lines to drive Operations goals to success. The Senior Manager, Operations Engineering will also:

* Support the VSMC Director in the execution of RVS business strategy by transforming Vision Systems' Manufacturing Center (VSMC) into a semi-automated, high-yield assembly & integration factory
* Apply knowledge of R6 Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and state of the art manufacturing principles, best practices and innovation to transform VSMC into a high rate/high yield automated manufacturing center that delivers cost competitive products in support of RVS growth trajectory
* Support the VSMC Director in managing capital budgets and investments for the VSMC and other RVS functions.

Required Skills:

* Minimum 12 years of experience in operations management, manufacturing engineering management, or related experience
* Possess a balance of strong leadership skills and technical expertise in setting up a high yield, semi-automated factory
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a demonstrated ability to improve through Lean & Six Sigma methodologies
* Ability to lead technical leaders, Manufacturing support and Factory execution Teams
* Thorough understanding of configuration management and engineering change processes
* Ability to collaborate daily with a cross-functional teams in a fast paced, robust matrixed environment.
* Ability to synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources to convey program and functional health
* Experience with proposal processes (Top-down and bottoms-up methodology, learning curves, capacity analysis, etc)
* Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
* Ability to obtain a Secret clearance within one year of start date
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

* New product introduction experience, especially in high product mix / low volume manufacturing environments
* Experience in micro electronics, Electro-Optical/Infra-Red detectors, semi-conductor device fabrication
