Job Description

The candidate will work within Communications and Airspace Management Systems (CAMS) Program Operations supporting the Protect Communication Systems (PCS) programs, working with new products or Hardware Level 0-3 products through the development cycle and Transition to Production (TTP).

Early gate operations engagement and creating manufacturing strategies for new products. Initiate Make/Buy/Where activities aligned with manufacturing strategy for new products

Establishing planned delivery schedules for new products Lead Operations proposal activities and engage factory for bids on new products. Transition to Production (TTP) lead for all new programs; establish plans and manage execution

Engage with engineering to ensure robust Design To Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) and Design For Manufacturing Assessment (DFMA) activities support TTP
Engage with Programs and factories to align capital plans in support of new Programs and manufacturing strategy

Partner with engineering and factories for test planning, test equipment, and projected test yields/capacity. Kickoff Operations Program planning at Gate 5 for new Programs

Support Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Production Readiness reviews with internal and external customers. Prepare and report on consolidated Operations content of Program Estimate At Completes (EACs) for new products

Program schedule integration (inter-factory and subcontracts) to ensure alignment to Program schedule contract.

Resolve design, cross-functional, and programmatic issues impacting schedule, cost, and/or quality of engineering development unit production and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) execution

Identify, monitor, and report on Program risks and opportunities and support Program Risk Review Board for new products.

Support Gate 11 activities at close of development contracts and work TTP with factories
Oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects and services as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management.
Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives

Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for interventions and problem solving with project managers, line managers and clients

Required Skills:
* Minimum 8 years of related work experience with transitioning to Production on new development programs
* Experience leading in a Program Leadership / Operations environment
Self-motivated, multi-tasker, ability to work in both team and Individual environments
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a good working ability in Excel and PowerPoint
* Earned Value Certification or Equivalent
* Six Sigma Qualified or Equivalent experience
* Must be a U.S. Citizen as this position will need a U.S. Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of employment start date
* Must be a U.S. Citizen as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
