Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for youto join our team as a Principal DevOps Engineer/ Sr Principal DevOps Engineerbased out of Aurora, CO.

What youll get to do:

The ideal candidate assists in the design and development of new system capabilities, applications, and solutions for external customer's systems and networks. In particular, the candidate is responsible for maintaining and updating Ansible and Python scripted deployment workflows for the deployment of a large software baseline in test and operational environments. The candidate also tests, troubleshoots, and configuration manages these deployment workflows. The program is also on a path to migrate portions of its deployment workflow to Ansible and VMWare vRealize Orachestrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation, and maintenance of the deployment workflows. In addition, the ideal candidate may help maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with application developers, support teams, and systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment with the engineering users and systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations and work well multi-tasking various related efforts. Support activities may include communicating with end users and customers on potential issues, researching complex technical problems, collecting system metrics and statistics, monitoring application performance and system logs, and supporting the deployment and installation of new software baselines.

Qualification

This requisition may be filled ateither a Principal DevOps Engineer/ Sr Principal DevOps Engineer

Basic Qualification for a Principal DevOpsEngineer:

* Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 Years with Masters; or 0 Years with PhD. 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

* Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly adjudicated within the last 5 years

* Current Security+ CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II)

* Hands-on experience with build automation management using Ansible and/or Chef/Puppet

* Experience with Python and/or Javascript

* Working knowledge of engineering and software development metrics, processes, and tools

Basic Qualification for a SrPrincipal DevOps Engineer:

* Bachelors degree and 9 years of experience in systems integration activities or 7 years with Master's Degree; 4 years with a PhD

* Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly adjudicated within the last 5 years

* Current Security+ CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II)

* Hands-on experience with build automation management using Ansible and/or Chef/Puppet

* Experience with Python and/or Javascript

* Working knowledge of engineering and software development metrics, processes, and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

* A strong understanding of buildautomation tools Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

* A strong understanding of codedevelopment and scripting utilizing Python, Bash, and Javascript Experiencewith git version control (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)

* Experience with VMWare vOrchestratorworkflows and/or vRealize Orchestrator

* Background in Linux administration,particularly RedHat, storage configuration and management, account management(LDAP), security control implementation

* Experience with VMware vCenter

Salary range for a Principal DevOpsEngineer Architect: $96,600-$144,900

Salary range for a Sr. Principal DevOpsEngineer Architect: $119,784-$179,676
