The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems rsquo; (NGDS) Information Systems and Solutions Division is seeking a proven Business Development professional to serve in the role of Account Manager (AM) / client executive to cover health agencies with a focus on the Department of Justice (DOJ). The AM will be responsible for performing all activities essential for the identification, qualification and capture of new business opportunities. They will be responsible for developing strategies to build a pipeline, qualifying opportunities, manage all aspects of account/territory growth and drive customer relationships across all levels of the account. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of the DOJ organization, have direct relationships across the agency and have strong working knowledge of their budgets, priorities and areas of investment in relation to NGDS capabilities and technologies. The AM will work closely with customers to identify and shape near-term and long-term requirements and should have a proven track record of successfully closing business within the DOJ.
The selected candidate will serve as the principal liaison and point of contact with all key customers within assigned market segment and perform ongoing assessments of customer requirements, determine market trends and develop strategies that align the customer rsquo;s needs/opportunities with NGDS capabilities and discriminators. They will assess NGDS market position versus competitors in the market segment by assessing their strengths, weaknesses and vulnerabilities. They will be responsible for identifying sufficient business prospects to meet both near and long term business requirements and will work closely with technology and strategy teams to determine customer and industry relationships required to scale in this market and will prepare comprehensive market/account plans.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree and a minimum of 10+ years of business acquisition experience in civil and health agencies, Administrations, or related health agency. Additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
* Expertise in systems integration and/or IT services, with an understanding of and experience bidding and winning in the health marketplace.
* Proven excellent written and verbal communications, presentation skills, organizational/time management skills and a strong sales/marketing presence.
* Must have proven ability to clearly and eloquently present ideas to senior management, line management and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
* BD or executive level experience within the VA. Strong VA customer relationships and ability to gain access to VA decision makers.
