Material Handler - Inventory Specialist

Job Description
The Material Handler, Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the following:
* Audit pkg slips everyday
* Report shortages and overages to vendor either by phone call or email
* Calling vendors to verify shipments
* Check inventory discrepancies.
* Before opening overages contact vendor and also do a cycle count in case receiver miss counted
* Bulk report same day or next day we have a window we have to call in shortages
* Ups and FedX hold pkg slips for 3 days if product is not here we do a cycle and if still shorted I call in
* Work with receiving team to identify product and also open up item on POs that corp has closed
* Reverse items if recd on the wrong PO or the amount
* If we rec a pallet that does not belong to us I call vendor and have them pick up within 5 days
* Rec items in if needed asap
* Report expired items to vendor or within 3 months dating to see if corporate approved
* Go out and be mobile with laptop to help receivers
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1+ years' experience in warehouse or distribution center environment
* 1+ years' inventory-related experience
Other Skills and Knowledge:
* Experience with MS Office including Excel andOutlook
