Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a RC-135 Mission Systems Field Engineering Specialist for our location in Offutt AFB, NE to provide maintenance and sustainment on extremely complex airborne and ground-based systems for the RC-135V/W Rivet Joint aircraft. These include:
* Sophisticated digital and computer-based systems
* RF distribution system, receivers, transmitters and modems
* Digital and analog recorder systems
* Audio and video distribution, switching systems, and communications equipment
Successful attributes include:
* Initiative and ability to study and learn these complex systems
* Being an accomplished electronics technician with sufficient experience to work unsupervised if necessary
Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
* OR Associate's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
* OR Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
* Experience working with electronics/computers
* Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 40%
Physical Requirements:
* Moves objects up to 50 lbs. up to 5% of the time
* Ascends/descends ladders daily
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Experience with LAN networks, RF theory and techniques, radios and datalinks
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance within the first year of employment
* Ability to obtain/sustain an IAT Level I certification within the first year
* Knowledge and experience with the current RC-135 mission systems or equivalent platform or systems
* CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification
* Familiarity with LINUX and UNIX-based operating systems
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
