Job Duties
This position calls for an individual that is interested in building an organization whose focus is the design, development, and deployment of the latest computational infrastructures. Our need for infrastructure architects is expanding from existing High Performance Computing (HPC) environments into the establishment of Digital Engineering Environments and Hybrid/Cloud computing solutions, and L3Harris is looking for talented individuals who want to lead efforts in the computational infrastructure domain.
This is an engineering position with job tasking that includes applying the latest technologies in the design and development of leading-edge computational infrastructures. Assist in the architecture, design and support of advanced computational platforms within the engineering organization. Maintain and upgrade the existing HPC storage facilities (2.5PB+) and HPC networks (Infiniband 40Gb). Create digital development and production environments consisting of XenServer, XenApp/XenDesktop, GRID vGPU/pGPU, Linux, Windows, and a variety of applications. Responsibilities also include collaboration on design and development of cybersecure cloud infrastructures and managing off-premise computational resources. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
* Bachelors in CS, EE, or related Engineering discipline, and/or equivalent experience/training
* 10+ years' experience in many/most of the following areas:
* Unified Storage devices
* XenServer and/or VMware
* L2/L3 networking
* Identity Management
* Windows and Linux administration
* AWS, Azure
* Infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis
* Scripting technologies
* Industry experience with any of the following is preferred:
* ZFS
* Lustre
* HTCondor
* NVIDI GRID/Virtual GPU
* Must be self-motivated and effective at time management, facilitating meetings, planning, execution, risks identification, management, and mitigation
* Ability to prepare and execute resource, scope, and time estimates with a high degree of reliability.
* Results driven with experience working in collaborative environments across organizations.
* Proven written and oral communication skills.
* Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
