This position is associated with the sale of Intels NAND memory and storage business to SK Hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2020/10/nand-memory-news-q-a.pdf). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

This is an exciting time to be at Intel come join our Data Center NAND Division as a PHY/Electrical characterization Engineer and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a PHY/Electrical characterization Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK Hynix.

Candidates being hired for Phase 1

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK Hynix.

On this role you will do but not limited to:

* Develops and documents electrical validation requirements and tests for verification of Si designs. Investigates and resolves complex issues with hardware/BIOS/Firmware/Operating System implementations and recommends solutions.
* Uses analysis to resolve electronic issues.
* Working closely with architect/design team to review board design, architecture change and define validation strategy.
* Actively engaging with our partners (HFW/FW/SW) to ensure high quality incoming collaterals.
* Representing the team in providing quantitative & qualitative input to Silicon Tape-In/Tape-out decision.
* Ensuring timely execution of all validation contents and proper disposition of failures/sightings.
* Coordinating with other technical leaders across organizations to define common validation processes and methodologies.
* Develop Validation Reports summarizing all validation activities performed on a given project
* Develop/Improve validation automation tools or scripts to increase the efficiency of the validation team
* Develop test strategies to ensure products meet and/or exceed the expectations of customers.
* Develop comprehensive validation methods designed to expose product deficiencies based on requirements of datacenter storage customers.

Qualifications

Education

The candidate must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or in a related discipline.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of experience in the following areas:

* Circuit / board design and electrical testing.
* Electrical circuit design, high-speed interface general architecture, signal-integrity and printed-circuit board design.
* Logically organizing and clearly presenting experimental.
* Validation and validation automation tools
* Test strategies

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of experience in the following areas:

* Programming experience (Python, Perl, C or C++).
* Designing IO circuits, PLLs, DLLs, voltage regulators, or other analog/mixed-signal circuits.
* RF lab measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, JBERTs, TDRs, VNAs, customized adapter-boards, SMA-cables, Power-Analyzers, etc.
* Electrical parameters of the SATA/PCI-Express specifications.
* Linux, Allegro (Cadence).
