The Technical Support Delivery team is looking for an entry level Java Developer to join our high-performing application development team. Our portfolio of applications spans electronic support, call/problem management, and entitlement systems. We operate and transform the capabilities for IBM worldwide technical support which is key to IBMs growth. The Java Developer will be a key contributor on a dynamic team within IBM Support that develops for external and internal clients on the IBM Salesforce system with the goal of ensuring our clients success.

Responsibilities
Develop the interface and bridge functionality to support IBM Support Agents delivering service for IBM clients
Understand and work in an agile development environment with the ability to work on numerous stories and issues simultaneously.
Problem solver and focal point during severity 1 and critical situations
Teamwork with peers, other managers, and teams across IBM

What you will Do
Join an Agile team that is engaged with meaningful work and consistently delivers value, but also likes to have fun with activities like Virtual Happy Hours
Contribute in transforming IBM technical support by supporting and developing our Java components that are used to transform the manner in which we communicate with IBMs partners and customers
Propel innovation and contribute to exciting new projects
Use your communication skills to communicate with stakeholders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* At least 2 years experience with Java programming (course work included).
* Understanding of JSON and XML message structures.
* General understanding of SOAP and REST-based webservices/APIs
* Familiarity with SQL concepts and writing SQL query statements
* Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and Automated Testing

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Bachelor's Degree
* Linux/UNIX experience
