Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The zCloud Mainframe System Programmer has joint responsibility for creating the hardware / software solution for all new contract opportunities. Additionally, the System Programmer will provide research / input for IBM mainframe hardware and software products/solutions to meet/exceed key business measurements. The System Programmer will have a solid foundation level understanding of IBM's z/Mainframe and software product portfolio. The System Programmer will have skill level to perform initial configuration and IPL of a zPlatform Mainframe. The programmer will also assist in project management activities, automation of processes, and identification of IBM/ISV software as appropriate with new opportunities. The System Programmer will also be involved in cloud platform management and advisement.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
* 2+ years of z/Cloud Mainframe Sysprog/Solution Architect experience.
* 6+ years of in depth understanding of one of the following Mainframe applications: DB2, CICS, RACF.
* 5+ years of client presentation experience.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Active Public Trust security clearance.
* 2+ years of client communication and business skills are an advantage for direct client interaction.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Positive attitude, flexible, able to work in fast pace environment.
* Cloud certification and experience (3+ years).
* 5+ years experience with zOS environments.
