Position Summary:

The PCT works under the supervision of the RN, LVN, or physician, and assists in the delivery of direct patient care. The PCT performs various duties to assist the nursing and physician staff in the care and treatment of patients, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and unlicensed assistive personnel scope of practice.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations:

* Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional CPR card.

Education:

* High School graduate or equivalent.

* Successful completion of State of California CNA certification exam.

* Successful completion of the Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center CNA exam with a score of > 80%.

Experience:

* Previous experience as a CNA preferred.

* One-year experience in acute-care setting preferred

Special Qualifications:

* Demonstrated or tested ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
