Consumer and Investment Management (CIMD)
The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.
PWM
Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies for their clients, and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.
An integrated part of PWM is The Goldman Sachs Trust Company (GSTC), N.A.. a limited-purpose national bank offering world-class, sophisticated trust and estate administration services to ultra-high-net-worth clients. The GSTC New York City branch office has an opening for an Associate/Vice President. The Associate/Vice President is a key person in managing the ongoing investment experience for the client. Typical responsibilities include the following:
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
* Work closely with Investment Officer in overseeing management of discretionary trust assets for GSTC clients
* Create portfolio rebalancing proposals for GSTC discretionary trusts
* Coordinate investment implementation and rebalancing (e.g. trade entry, opening separately managed accounts, etc.)
* Execute, process and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions
* Serve as key GSTC Investment Team liaison to PWA teams
* Analyze equity, fixed income and alternative investment portfolios for risk and return characteristics
* Research internal and external investment vehicles for client asset allocations
* Work in conjunction with various product groups within CWM to respond to client needs
* Keep abreast of the latest events in the financial markets as well as GS research; relay this information to Investment Officer and other team members.
* Assist on projects related to new business development and team strategic planning
* Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects for the Investment Team and GSTC
* Prepare weekly/monthly management reports & quarterly investment committee meeting materials
* Manage the onboarding and transition of new GSTC discretionary relationships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR
* 4+ years of relevant experience
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
* Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Detail-oriented
* Creative thinker that is intellectually curious
* Strong knowledge of Windows technology (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
* Undergraduate degree required
* Series 7 and 66 required (must be obtained within three months of employment)
