JOB SUMMARY:
Will participate in the day-to-day management of a large scale, corporate VMware and Active Directory environments, to include vulnerability remediation and Cloud migrations.
Essential Job Functions:
* Provide daily system administration of a large enterprise VMware environment.
* Job duties include installing, configuring, patching and maintaining the VMware environment,
* Participate in 24x7 weekly on call support rotation for VMware, Azure and Active Directory environments
* Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
* Provide user and application ID access administration
* Participate in annual disaster recovery exercises.
* Responsible to apply configuration hardening on servers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors degree Computer Technology or related area OR additional equivalent experience above the required minimum.
* 2-3 years experience in a technology role
* Experience with managing Windows or Linux Red Hat in a virtualized environment
* Experience with Windows or Linux Red Hat Server troubleshooting
* Experience with Server management processes: monitoring, antivirus, backups, etc.
* Must be familiar with corporate change management procedures
* Must be detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be familiar with patch management process, how to install and troubleshoot patches
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong communication skills required to communicate with all levels within the organization
* This position will support a federal government contract. Applicants must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance as required of federal government contractors to include a background check conducted by the U.S. Government to determine eligibility and suitability for federal contract employment for public trust or sensitive positions. For this level of clearance, applicants must possess U.S citizenship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with Cisco UCS server hardware
* Azure Cloud experience a plus
* Experience with VMWare ESXi
* Experience with PowerShell scripting and Azure Automation (Runbooks)
* Windows AD experience a plus
