As a Product Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineer (NVM) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will deliver support for device qualification, failure analysis, and data analysis of NAND Flash memory devices. In this role, you will coordinate with multiple engineering teams to develop a best in class quality culture and drive improvements in Microns quality. You will be responsible for reducing variation and driving resolution to deviations. You will also provide support for field failure requiring root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions using an 8D format, as well as performing risk assessments and disposition of deviated materials in volume production. You will also be asked to gain new product knowledge as well as develop and mentor new talent.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead New Product Qualifications
* Define qualification plan
* Facilitate and run qualification process
* Comprehend failures and failure rate within the scope of the qualification
* Perform risk assessment at all decision points within qualification cycle
Develop Product Reliability Methodology
* Coordinate with research and development teams
* Comprehend new NAND Flash processes/technologies for product reliability issues
* Develop reliability tests to assess new NAND Flash failure mechanisms
Support Deviant Material Disposition
* Assess deviation for NAND Flash product quality and reliability risk
* Define evaluation(s) vital to mitigate risk
* Facilitate and manage evaluations
* Provide the disposition of deviant material
Provide Internal Technical Support for Customer Problem Resolution
* Assist NAND Customer Team with electrical analysis of returned material
* Provide input on manufacturing history and known issues relative to customer failure signature
* Assist with vital corrective actions at manufacturing level
* Comprehend field failure rates relative to internal failure rates
Provide Expertise and Consultation on Quality-Related Topics
* Support Global Qualification Meetings
* On-board new team members
* Train, mentor, and develop new talent
* Provide part qualification data for customers
* Collaborate with Engineering groups on quality issues
* Obtain product knowledge
Qualifications:
* Background in semiconductor processing, device physics, semiconductor reliability, and device characterization
* Knowledge of NAND Flash structure and operation, typical product failure modes, and reliability mechanisms
* Strong knowledge of statistical concepts relevant to semiconductor quality and reliability
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* The ability to work with people from diverse technical backgrounds and be a team player
* Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, scripting languages, and statistical analysis software
Education (Required): Bachelor/masters degree
* Engineering Electrical
* Related field of study
Experience (Required): 3 years experience in any of the following:
* In Device Characterization, Device Physics, Semiconductor Processing, Semiconductor Reliability or a related field
