DevOps Engineer

Job Description

The Individual in this role is responsible for implementing Dev Ops best practices at an enterprise level. We are driving towards full automation of our CI/CD pipeline including standing up infrastructure in AWS via terraform. We are looking for individuals with an aversion to manual processes and a strong desire to automate. The candidate should be self-motivated with the ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. You should be an expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting tasks.

* Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving DevOps related software and processes in a fast paced, agile development environment using the latest software development methodologies and tools.
* Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging common DevOps processes, tools, and technology.
* Communicates continuously with management and peers about the status and progress of ongoing projects.
* Implement enterprise level terraform scripts for managing AWS environment and application infrastructure
* Exposure to container technology, docker.
* Implement and review docker file implementations for security, performance, and maintainability.
* Experience in RedHat's Openshift platform and kubernbetes.
* Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment pipelines that will enhance LabCorp's CI/CD capabilities and automation.
* Experience with Jenkins and Urban Code Deploy.
* Experience with Test Automation and Continuous Test in a delivery pipeline. Experience with sub-gui testing and service virtualization a plus.
* Experience with key Dev Ops tools such as Liquibase, Ansible, Nexus, and Maven
* Provide guidance regarding agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
* Understanding of Amazon's AWS services and capabilities.
* Manage all components in the full stack, and assist with building out server automation across the entire infrastructure.
* Ensure critical systems, applications, and services are always up and running by monitoring, gathering, and analyzing data from different sources.

Requirements

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
* At least 5 years of experience as a Dev Ops engineer.
* At least 3 years of experience with Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
