Life Science Lead West Region

JLLs Project & Development Services team is seeking a Life Science Sector Lead to accelerate growth and support our teams in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients in the West Region. Leading this important growth sector for JLL will require that you bring industry leading expertise and best practices which will benefit our colleagues and clients. Location is flexible but preferable in San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Seattle, Denver or Salt Lake City.

* Responsible for the vision, strategy and plan to achieve a market leading position in the Life Science sector, working collaboratively to implement across the Region.
* Develop, grow and maintain relationships with key decision makers in the Life Science sector.
* Develop strong relationships with consultants, contractors and vendors with expertise in the Life Science sector.
* Accountable for growth in partnership with the PDS Market Leads in the four primary markets across the West: Southwest, Northern California, Pacific Northwest and the Rock Mountain Region; growth will be measured by: new clients and project opportunities, revenue and margin.
* Leverage Salesforce as a CRM tool and maintain a reliable pipeline of new opportunities.
* Lead pursuits, integrating with other JLL business lines, and cross selling JLL business to achieve our strategic objectives and bring a comprehensive solution to our clients.
* Work directly with clients to define their real estate objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to assign the best team on the field.
* Anticipate and respond to our client's needs and concerns.
* Partner with practice leaders to bring sustainability, cost, program management, development advisory and move management services to our Life Science clients.

Deliver Excellence

* Provide executive oversight and leadership on projects where required.
* Assist in the development of conceptual project budgets, schedules, risk and trends.
* Develop and drive integrated project plans, aligning project tactics with project strategy.
* Demonstrate ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company.

Corporate Social Responsibility Impact

* Actively participate in civic and business organizations.
* Contribute to JLLs sustainability, DEI and community impact goals.
* Promote JLLs programs such as: Supplier Diversity, HBCU internship and community service as an example.

Financial Stewardship

* Balanced approach to investment strategy.
* Ability to forecast and prepare budgets; and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
* Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
* Partner with the Regional PDS Lead and Market Leads to establish competitive pricing strategies.

Communication and Reasoning Ability

* Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents.
* Demonstrate a sense of urgency in responding effectively to sensitive issues.
* Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to diverse audiences.
* Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with multiple stakeholder groups to take desired action.
* Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
* Expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix and multi-industry organizational environment.

Experience
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

* Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus.
* 10-15 years of industry experience in the pharmaceutical, biomed, biotechnology, and/or medical device industries.
* 10+ years of experience developing and cultivating business relationships with existing and prospective clients
* 10+ years of project management experience.
* Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process (Six Sigma and Project Management Professional certifications are a plus).
* Established network within the leading west coast research and life science universities.
