Facebook is hiring a Policy Programs Associate to join our External Affairs team to support economic impact and community engagement events across North America on the Boost with Facebook program. This is a great opportunity for someone with a policy and events background who wants to join a quickly growing team. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, highly organized, detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a passion for building and maintaining partnerships and improving existing processes. This role is a full-time position that, health & safety providing, we anticipate extensive on and off travel throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Policy Programs Associate Responsibilities
* Provide end-to-end planning and support for the Boost with Facebook programs event planning and execution
* Draft program related materials including briefing documents, 1 pagers, invitations, event recaps, and other collateral
* Work directly and coordinate with external agencies, as well as internal cross-functional teams, clearly and regularly
* Integrate program strategy with broader policy team strategy
* Identify opportunities for Facebook presence at partner events
* Build and manage outreach with long term external partnerships
* Manage and update internal event and stakeholder trackers
* Manage and track multiple projects simultaneously
* Comfortable managing virtual and in-person events, with possible extensive travel
* Help strengthen and advance overall Boost program
Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years of work experience in one or more of the following fields: public policy, political communications, political organizing, campaigns, and/or event planning
* Demonstrated interest and background in public policy, marketing, communications, and event planning
* Experience working with high level stakeholders including policymakers
* Experience managing a budget
* Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment
* BA/BS degree in political science, sociology, international relations, marketing, or related field
