THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Integrated Operations (IO) IT Director is accountable for the strategic direction and delivery of IT solutions across the DuPont Operations and Supply Chain functions. Integrated Operations at DuPont covers the functional disciplines of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Ops. Planning, Environment Health & Safety, Facilities & Real Estate and Order to Cash. Reporting into the VP, Solution Delivery this leader partners across the IT, Integrated Operations and Business Unit Integrated Operations teams and is accountable for the formation of IT strategy and solutions to drive industry leading performance. Please note this is a Supply Chain & Manufacturing focused IT Leader role.
This leader is a key interface role between the needs of the Integrated Operations function and the range of services supported and delivered by IT. Success in the role requires strong influencing and partnership across IT that includes perspectives across the key disciplines required to support the Integrated Operations agenda - Digital Productivity, Customer Focus, Security, Infrastructure, Networks and Applications.
The IO leader IT Director will implement new solutions, including emerging digital technologies, to improve manufacturing and supply chain effectiveness, protect intellectual property and trade secrets, improve customer responsiveness, and drive new process monitoring and control technologies. She/he drives and manages the portfolio of operations and supply chain IT projects, including prioritization of initiatives based on business value, ensuring timely program execution, appropriate resourcing, and ongoing alignment with enterprise technology and security standards. In addition, DuPont is starting on a journey to replace our legacy SAP ERP platforms - this role will play a foundational role in developing the Integrated Operations needs as a part of this transformation, ensuring alignment on areas of commonality and agreement on where needs should be addressed differentially.
Your key responsibilities:
* Is the single point of IT accountability for the Global Integrated Operations Function (Supply Chain & Manufacturing)
* Delivery and execution of the Integrated Operations IT needs
* Partnership with Integrated Operations executive and senior leaders; Has a seat at the leadership table
* Clear and ongoing communication across key stakeholders within the function and across IT
* People leadership, development, engagement and growth of an internal team of IT professionals
* Partners with senior business stakeholders to develop strategies aligned to business outcomes
* Develop end-to-end solutions roadmap to drive foundational Supply Chain, customer service, and Manufacturing needs, as well as Digital Supply Chain opportunities (Industry x.0)
* Provide ongoing thought leadership around technology enabling the mission of the Integrated Operations teams and modernizing service delivery
* Leverages external relationships and partnerships to ensure that DuPont has access to contemporary thinking and opportunity in the Integrated Operations space
* Inspires a team to deliver against agreed strategies and outcomes; Delivers growth and development opportunities through direct management, coaching, feedback and delegation
* Escalates risk as appropriate to IT and business stakeholders for transparency and resolution
* Executive level presence and acumen
* Ability to form strong/collaborative working relationships
* Is a leader of people, drives talent in the organization and acts as the coach and mentor for the team
* Ability to make difficult decisions to ensure project priorities meet strategic business goals
* Partners effectively with external vendors
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially of complex technical ideas
* Adaptable to an ever-changing environment and to leading the organization through change.
* Strong skill in leading and managing through influence
Job Qualification
* Typically, this requires 10+ years of broad IT experience with a demonstrated track record of career development and progression.
* IT experience should include 5+ years of supporting a large-scale Integrated Operations (Supply Chain & Manufacturing) function including the development of strategic IT roadmaps and successful outcomes delivery
* Experienced in leading and implementing new ERP platforms for an Global Organization
* An accomplished people leader that's had experience leading a globally distributed and diverse organization
* This is a customer facing role that is hands on within the business daily - as such this requires the personality and interpersonal skills to make, manage and maintain relationships across a broad range of clients from hands on users all the way up to functional leadership
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field, and equivalent work experience
* Advanced degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain or Mathematics is a plus
* An experienced IT leader with extensive, successful track record supporting the IT needs of a large, global Integrated Operations function
* Ability to think strategically, translate strategic concepts to an executable plan to deliver high value
* Broad ranging, multi-discipline IT knowledge including Infrastructure, Security and Applications
* Working functional knowledge of the key aspects of a contemporary Integrated Operations function; demonstrated experience with technology solutions in a manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, engineering, or similar technical field
* IT project and program management experience delivering IT solutions to meet and exceed business requirements; Experience or strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies is a distinct plus.
* Working knowledge of emerging digital technologies, solutions and processes
