Position Summary
THIS POSITION IS FOR TEMPORARY WORK AND OUTAGE WORK.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing emergency response support for the Crystal River Energy Complex (CREC), both fossil and nuclear, including but not limited to medical, fire, safety, rescue and hazardous materials situations. The incumbent ensures inspections of fire protection systems are completed and repair requests initiated. The organization provides 24/7 coverage for the fossil and nuclear organizations. Incumbent works rotating 24-hour shifts, remaining on site for the entire 24-hour period.
Basic/Required Qualifications
* Up to 2 years of formal post-high school specialized trade, technical school or college.
* Area of specialization: Directly related fire protection/EMT
* One to three years in emergency response
* State of Florida Certified Firefighter
* Emergency Medical Technician
* Confined Space Operations Level
* Rope Rescue Operations Level
* State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector I

* Radiation Safety Officer course certificate
