A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
* Lead a team of Safety Professionals build and maintain company-wide safety processes, programs, and standards, analyze risk to ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
* Drive improved safety performance.
* Oversee and Manage Company Safety Standards, Programs, and Guidance Documents: Development and management of company safety standards, policies, programs, and guidance documents.
* Support SCEs DC&M and Transportation Services organization units.
* Assess program performance, risk analysis, and continuous improvement of processes.
* Safety Subject Matter Expertise: Oversee group efforts related to the provision of safety subject matter expertise to SCE organization units.
* Ensure changes are understood by affected organizations and responsible to assist and guide in the development of action plans.
* Manage Safety Consultation: Oversee group efforts related to providing guidance on technical safety issues, such as electrical safety, fall protection, confined space safety, or other issue areas.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The Essentials
* Five years of experience in management or supervising an organization.
* Five years of experience leading and/or working to improve overall safety performance with safety programs, process and regulations.
* Two years of experience championing safety culture change.
The Preferred
* Bachelors Degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Strong oral and written communication with experience consulting with Sr. Management such as executives and directors.
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven record of effective collaboration and cross-functional alignment.
* Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) or other safety certification.
* Project Management Certification.
