The Business Systems Architect (Technologist) is a key position responsible for driving the Water Quality (WQ) Platforms adoption of emerging and established technologies that will enable WQ businesses to execute their strategies. The mission of this position is to collaborate with WQ operating companies to identify, adopt and rollout technology solutions that can be leveraged across the WQ Platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives Innovation and Growth
* Application of emerging technologies to enable the execution of our business strategies.
* Ownership of the technology adoption process and ensure that business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, understood and considered as part of the technology adoption process.
* Manage projects to rollout technology initiatives across multi-organizations and geographic regions.
* Collaborate with business leaders to maintain a prioritized funnel of business opportunities to leverage emerging and established technologies.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly through sophisticated situations.
Relationships and Influence
* Serve as a liaison between business and functional areas in the evaluation of new technologies.
* Collaborate with functions to evaluate and document ROIC of opportunities.
* Provide progress reports and other presentations to senior leadership.
* Strong interaction with all functions and regions within Hach and the Water Quality Platform.
* Ability to influence others and be effective in a matrixed environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors or post-graduate degree required in a related field study or comparable work experience
* 5+ years experience in successfully leading global projects
* Must demonstrate structured thinking regarding people, processes and systems.
* Strong technical aptitude and proven experience in successfully implementing IT systems.
* Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
* Demonstrated consulting skills with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
* Exposure to emerging IT technologies is desired e.g., Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Process Mining and Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems
* Demonstrated experience in synthesizing inputs from global partners and cross-functional teams in dealing with complexity and ambiguity
* Capable of driving timely decisions while being open to different perspectives
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
