Danaher Digital is our digital innovation and acceleration center where were bringing together the leading strategic product and business leaders, technologists and data scientists for the common shared purpose of accelerating discovery, development and commercialization of disruptive and transformative digital solutions. We accelerate Danahers digital innovation journey by partnering with Danaher operating companies (OPCOs) to monetize and commercialize the potential of emerging digital trends. Located in Silicon Valley, the heart of global innovation, Danaher Digital is ideally situated to capitalize on the disruptive digital trends transforming our world, including IoT, Data, AI/ML, cloud, Augmented Reality (AR) and other Digital frontiers.

Position Description

Reporting to the VP & GM of Danaher Digital, this leader will partner with, enable and accelerate OPCOs to define, develop and commercialize transformative digital solutions. This leader will be a strategic thinker, entrepreneurial leader and execution czar, who has a proven track record of accelerating and monetizing digital innovation across a diverse portfolio of businesses, preferably in life sciences and med-tech markets (pharmaceuticals, biotech, med-tech, enterprise healthcare, etc.). The leader will have innovated and delivered solutions inspired by transformative technologies such as cloud, data and AI. The leader will leverage an array of experiences and skills including digital product management & strategy, strategic marketing, digital business development and solution delivery program management. The right candidate is comfortable to be simultaneously part digital strategist, part digital thought leader, part digital product manager and part business development manager.

This leader will have global operating skills, management and leadership experiences to inspire senior OPCO leadership (across business, technology and products), influence behavior and accelerate strategy into execution.

* Technologically curious and business savvy, the person can connect and understand multiple technical disciplines in various life sciences markets across Danaher OPCOs.
* Has demonstrated the business acumen to clearly define and articulate the financial and organizational implications of these advancements to accelerate OpCos digital journeys.

We are open to remote work from The Bay Area, Seattle, San Diego, Irvine and Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

Enable and accelerate digital growth and innovation in OPCOs:

* Define vision and actionable strategy for digital business models, develop roadmaps, accelerate customer trials and launch solutions.
* Directly engage with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally (partners or customers), and create new high-growth digital businesses that are economically and technically viable and create sustainable competitive advantages.
* Capture and analyze customers digital ecosystems, environments, use cases and workflows, along with their implicit, explicit and unanticipated needs.
* Develop detailed and comprehensive business case for data-analytics inspired digital solutions, including financials, budget plans, and secure executive approvals.
* Enable OPCO marketing teams by defining and developing solution messaging, value proposition, competitive differentiation, customer segmentation, pricing, packaging and related commercial approaches.
* Directly assist execution of solution development (schedule, quality, scope, cost) by closely collaborating and supporting peers and theirs teams, especially data scientists, architects and product owners in Danaher Digital.
* Communicate and conduct rigorous and detailed program reviews with OPCO and Danaher Digital leadership. Identify and clearly articulate milestones, hurdles, lessons learned and sufficiently detailed execution plan.
* Ensure compliance and ethical behavior without exception

Qualifications:

Business Acumen

* Strong business and financial acumen, with >10 years of product management, product strategy and product marketing experience in developing and commercializing digital solutions that leverage Data, Analytics/AI, cloud or SaaS/PaaS technologies.
* >5 years of such relevant experience in life sciences markets (pharma, bio-tech, med-tech) in particular or (enterprise) healthcare in general.
* Experiences in utilities, retail or manufacturing are a bonus (but not required).
* Solid experience communicating the vision and strategy in bold, persuasive yet simple and clear terms gaining buy-in from diverse cross-functional stakeholders.

Executing for Results

* >7 years of strategic, hands-on and detail-savvy leadership in operational execution (including with Engineering groups), setting and achieving aggressive short and long-term goals in high-urgency environments.
* Driven change and what if scenario planning balancing business needs versus technical and resource realities.
* Portfolio of research, writing and presenting market, competitive and product trends
* Defined, analyzed and reported success and financial metrics spreadsheets for SaaS/PaaS programs for Data and Analytics/AI.
* Demonstrated results in effective written communications including presentations (technical and business) and product marketing collateral/documents.

Building Relationships and Using Influence

* Drove significant outcomes at an enterprise level without direct authority, with a history of shaping opinions across technology, business and strategy leadership.
* Gained credibility of and worked successfully with varied audiences (commercial leaders, sales, marketing, services, R&D, engineering). Demonstrated broad knowledge and is frequently described as visionary.
* Negotiation and conflict-resolution tools and experiences when interacting with all levels within the organization (internal and external).

Other qualifications:

* Masters degree in computer science or related fields.
* >10 years experience in product or solution management/marketing and strategy. Consulting and/or Software Development/Engineering experience is a bonus.
* Proficiency and knowledge of technical concepts in big data, machine learning and AI.
* Demonstrated willingness to aggressively learn new things
* Likes to win, has fun doing it, and energizes the organization around a winning agenda
