The Legal Department supports the vision, values & goals of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. We operate in accordance with the highest standards of judgment, integrity, and ethical leadership to find creative solutions that best serve our customers, prudently manage risks, and contribute to Wells Fargos enterprise success.
Responds to administratively filed employment claims of moderate to high risk and complexity on behalf of Wells Fargo. Primary responsibility is to analyze and respond to legal claims pending with the EEOC or related state agencies by current and former team members. Key function is to draft clear and effective position statements setting forth the company s response to the claims. Additional duties include: investigating merits of administratively filed employment claims; evaluating legal risk of claims; advising management and attorney partners of merits and risks of defense of claims; responding to written legal threats from attorneys; consulting on basic employee relations issues. May attend mediations,settlement conferences and agency conferences under the direction of an attorney. Drafts settlement documents. Participates in employment related work teams and activities within the Legal Department. Collaborates within the department and across business and staff functions to address legal and risk issues in a manner consistent with the best interests of Wells Fargo.
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of legal experience or experience with employment laws and policies to include in the review, evaluation, and response to EEO or employment claims and grievances
Desired Qualifications
* A Master's degree or higher
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience drafting clear and effective position statements setting forth the company s response to the claims
* Experience investigating merits of administratively filed employment claims and valuating legal risk of those claims
* Extensive legal writing experience

* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $67,500 Mid: $95,000
NC-Charlotte: Min: $67,500 Mid: $95,000
MO-Saint Louis: Min: $67,500 Mid: $95,000
IA-Des Moines: Min: $67,500 Mid: $95,000
