Primary Responsibilities:

* Manage all facility-based admissions for mental health and substance abuse through the continuum of care
* Effectively collaborate with treating providers and facilities to ensure consumers are receiving treatment in line with best practice and level of care guidelines
* Effectively communicate with consumers about their benefit coverage and provide appropriate resources and referrals
* Make decision about appropriate levels of care based on medical necessity guidelines

Required Qualifications:

* Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D or a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with 2 or more years of experience in behavioral / mental health
* Active, independent, unrestricted license in behavioral health
* 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, after obtaining independent licensure
* Facility based mental / substance abuse experience
* Computer/typing proficiency to enter/retrieve data in electronic clinical records and provide customer service on the phone concurrently
* MS Office proficiency
* Demonstrated independence with problem solving and daily work prioritization
* Must have access to high speed internet (DSL, Cable or Fiber Optic)
* Must have dedicated, distraction-free space in home for home office
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employee must comply with any state and local masking orders

* Ability to work effectively within in a fast paced, changing environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $53,300 to $95,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
